Take the Florida Turnpike to avoid Miami traffic. This is a
toll road, but can shave an hour off your trip for just a
couple of dollars.
Follow the Florida Turnpike to Florida City and then follow
south on US 1.
The miles are marked along the way, ending in Key West at
Mile Marker 0.
As
you follow SOUTH on US 1, you will cross many bridges. The
last bridge you will cross is the COW KEY CHANNEL BRIDGE.
Once you have crossed this bridge, move to the RIGHT LANE
and when you come to a T in the road, TURN RIGHT onto NORTH
ROOSEVELT BOULEVARD.
You will follow this road for about 3 miles and at Bay View
Park, the name changes to TRUMAN AVENUE. Stay on TRUMAN AVE
until your reach SIMONTON STREET (about 1 mile.)
TURN RIGHT on SIMONTON STREET (there is a Duffy’s Restaurant
on the left and a Moped Hospital on the right) and FOLLOW 5
BLOCKS to FLEMING STREET.
TURN RIGHT onto Fleming and we are three-fourths of a block
up on the right.
*IF YOU MISS THE TURN ONTO SIMONTON STREET, just take the
next right on DUVAL Street and follow 5 blocks to Fleming.
